Voluntary ESG reporting according to the VSME standard
Current situation concerning mandatory ESG reporting is still unclear (the obligation to prepare a non‑financial report according to the CSRD directive has been postponed for most companies by two years) and it is likely that the scope of companies that will fall under the obligation will be adjusted. However, the requirements for sustainable behavior of organisations will not disappear from companies.
Whether it is pressure within supplier‑customer relationships, from banks or the public, or simply sustainability is in the DNA of specific organisations that want to continue behaving responsibly towards society and the environment. A voluntary ESG report will allow an organisation not only to conduct a detailed “screening” of its approach to ESG, but also serves as a way to present its results and views to the wider public.
In the course we will guide you step by step through the VSME standard (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for non‑listed SMEs) published by EFRAG and teach you how to prepare a voluntary report according to this standard, which is recommended by the European Commission as a basis for voluntary non‑financial reporting. We will also add a number of practical tips from our practice.
